A01 Engineer (Electrical/Electronics)

Responsibilities

•  To perform new model parts development control, process inspections and non-conformance control on the vendor of the electrical/electronics parts in your charge
•  Duties include System & Process Audit based on ISO/QS System; parts/components inspection criteria; non-conformance containment, problem analysis and troubleshooting; and providing support to production and related division

Requirements

•  Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering discipline
•  Experience & Knowledge in Manufacturing and/or Quality System Audit is essential
•  Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
•  Overseas travel required

A02 Manufacturing Engineer - Entry

Responsibilities

•  Responsible for overall ATE product line quality
•  Works with field, factory, R&D, and marketing to resolve quality issues
•  Establishes metrics and measures CM / vendor quality Manages corrective action request / action tracking process
•  Facilitates communication across all functions

Requirements

•  Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent. No prior experience required; experience preferred. Good communication and English speaking skills required. Prefer experience in basic quality aspects / tools, managing corrective action processes, and experience working with contract manufacturers.

A03 Yield Engineering Engineer / Snr Engineer / Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Identify causes of low sort yield and Etest failure through systematic analysis and drive for yield improvement
•  Investigate causes for high defect density and drive for process improvement. Work closely with process/equipment engineers to improve on both line yield and sort yield
•  Maintain and fine tune existing process technology and support derivation process development
•  Provide full support and deliver excellence to customer during regular conference call/fab matrix review or customer visit

Requirements

•  PHD , Masters or Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
•  Preferably with minimum 3 years relevant experience or more
•  Good interpersonal and effective communication skills
•  Good presentation as well as strong problem solving skills
•  Able to chair meeting and lead cross-functional team effectively
•  Able to perform under a fast paced and challenging environment
•  Candidate with wafer fab experiences will be an advantage

A04 Product Engineer / Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Bridge Chartered process experts with customer product engineering for new product introduction, product qualification and yield improvement/stabilization
•  Liaise with process integration, reliability group and/or customer to formulate the qual plan
•  Ownership from fabout to qual completion
•  Liaise with FA lab and/or customer for product analysis and follow up actions if there is any qual failure as well as to handle RMA and follow up actions
•  Yield loss and failure mode analysis at product level for continuous yield improvement
•  Liaise with customer for new sort/final test program release and program revisions. To monitor and communicate test program release and revisions at Chartered's qualified test subcontractor
•  Define methodology to improve integrity of wafer sort and FT assurance
•  Use YMS to identify ET parameters, inline parameters that correlate to sort yield

Requirements

•  PHD, Masters or Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Physics or its equivalent
•  Preferably with minimum 3 years or more product/testing and hands-on experience on a IC test system
•  Good understanding of product testing methodology
•  Good data analytical skills
•  Ability to manage multiple projects and interacts with personnel from various cultural background
•  Good communication skills and a good team player
•  Able to perform under a fast paced and challenging environment
•  Candidate with wafer fab experiences will be an advantage

A05 Process Integration Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Monitor inline lot movement to ensure that there is no process issue with lot.
•  Resolve all process integration issues by ensuring all window checks are done on critical process steps.
•  Maintain good cpk for ET and monitor inline SPC parameters for assigned process. Identify and correct all ET related problems that may affect seamless production.
•  To work with CE to resolve Customer complaints and provide customers with required information. With the help of CE, identify and get appropriate information from the customer.
•  Run prototype lots on new processes as defined by the Scope of the group. Write prototype lot report for every new device.
•  Develop custom or derivative processes to meet customer requirements

Requirements

•  PHD, Masters or Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
•  Basic understanding of device physics and statistical process control.
•  Preferably with about 5 years relevant experience or more
•  Process/device simulation knowledge and analysis.
•  Electrical bench testing
•  Process flow development and unit process module development
•  CAD design capability desired but not a must
•  Extensive knowledge of different devices eg logic, analog, high voltage etc and knowledge of 0.25 um to 0.13um process architecture & integration experience
•  Knowledge of design rules and layer generation rules as well as spice modeling knowledge

A06 Etch Section Manager

Responsibilities:

•  Establish plans and strategies to meet and surpass manufacturing performance indices
•  Establish smooth operation of manufacturing through the establishment of robust manufacturing processes; high equipment availability and clear operating procedures
•  Forecast and budget for test wafers and process-related expenditures
•  Implement work improvement methods or methodologies to reduce defect density, costs, improve throughput or OEE, Cpk and create robust processes and line yield
•  Liaise with internal and external customers to improve yield, quality and throughput
•  Implement SPC/FMEA/DOE as means of Total Quality Control
•  Spearhead and facilitate continuous improvement through QIT programs to create cost effective and robust processes
•  Perform appraisals and map career path for subordinates
•  Provide training and guidance to Engineers and Associate Engineers to achieve maximum performance effectiveness
•  Conduct regular feedback and communication sessions with staff for work improvement and maintain morale
•  Co-ordinate and execute activities in line with the Company's Strategic Thrusts and business plan
•  Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab
•  To provide support and adequate resources to ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, and participate in improving and maintaining the EHS management system

Requirements:

•  Phd/MSc/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or Physics
•  Min 8 years relevant experience out of which 3 years in managerial position
•  Candidate with wafer fab experiences will be an advantage.
•  Good analytical skills and work well under pressure

A07 Principal Product Engineer

Responsibilities

A08 Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Provide technical support to the customers and solve customer problems
•  Involved in customer Smart Card Software development on microcontroller
•  Conduct Customer Training on the products and development tools
•  Work together with the Sales team and Distributors to drive the business in AP
•  Oversee the process of product development to the final products shipments to customers

Requirements

•  Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
•  Minimum 5 years working experience with good client contacts
•  Knowledge in embedded design, software development on microcontroller is necessary
•  Experience in field application is preferred
•  Knowledge of Smart Card, secure solution would be an advantage

A09 Etch Process Engineering-Principal Engineer / Senior Engineer / Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Monitor process performance indices on qualified processes and establish good controls to maintain process performance
•  Improve on qualified processes using quality improvement tools
•  Troubleshoot process issues, establish best known method, specifications for procedures to be followed and work with other departments to create new recipes
•  Work with both internal and external customers to improve yield and quality
•  Ensure productivity improvement through process changes, document, as well as implement process capability and work with equipment Engineers to maximize productivity of the equipment
•  Start up new equipment processes which involves process characterization and development

A10 Reliability Engineer / Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Execute benchmarking exercise on reliability testing methodology, process qual criteria & reliability design rules
•  Design and characterize reliability test structures and circuits to determine reliability layout rules and models
•  Provide technical support to customers on building-in reliability into final products
•  Have ownership of the definitions, documentation and maintenance of test procedures, test findings & tools, plus training of the Reliability lab operation staff
•  Provide technical support to Fab Reliability Engineers on qualifications & reliability improvements - qual plan definitions, test conditions determinations, design hardware & software to cater for special test requests, analysis of test results and provide recommendations on competitiveness & improvements
•  Continuously improve reliability test cycle time & accuracy through refinements of test structure design and test methodologies
•  Play key role in process reliability improvements through participation in team meetings
•  To be the key members in new technology core team to build reliability into the basic device/process
•  Define qual vehicle requirements and provide road map

Requirements:

•  At least a Masters in Physics or Electrical Engineering
•  Understand semiconductor device physics, semiconductor processing and characterization
•  Knowledge and experience in gate oxide integrity characterization is preferred
•  At least one year experience in semiconductor industry
•  Good communication skills
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Team player
